The Race-Event in the north of Germany will be entering it’s tenth round!

However, a round is not the Option here, because we run fast in a straight line – down the ¼ mile. Approximately 200 teams from all over Europe compete, at the second-largest international race of it’s kind in Germany. The competitors pull up to the start line, with horse power in the thousands. One of the Highlights of the Event are the turbine Dragsters with ca. 15,000 hp that have in the passed reached record times at the Jade Race on the ¼ mile (402m) with 6.8 sec and a top speed of 386 km/h. On July 19th, 2019, it is once again time – for the rather tranquil coastal town of Mariensiel, in the municipality of Sande and on the outskirts of Wilhelmshaven, to turn into the Mecca for Drag Racing fans for three days of pure speed and power.

Thanks to the Mariensiel having an airfield – the JadeWeserAirport runway, will be declared the fastest place for this weekend. Where each round, the 1/4 mile (402 meters) long track will be taken down as fast as possible.

There are different objectives. On the one hand, whoever gets to the stripe first wins or sometimes ist the driver that is closest to the index set for his/her class. This is not only about top speed, but also about reaction and consistency. And the spectators look forward to a breathtaking race scene.

Generous spectator areas allow a perfect view of the start and finish line. Therefore it is possible to observe the competitors at close range and to experience awesome burnouts and cackling engines as they hit the pedal to the metal and put rubber on the track. Boredom does’nt usually occur at the Jade-Race, with something for everyone to see all the time and everywhere. Thus, racing is nearly non-stop from morning till evening. Both cars and motorbikes are on track, some daily Drivers and others pure race cars, that often look like aggressive high-speed monsters.

Drivers can enter the race via the Jade-Race Website: www.jade-race.com.

Specatators can take a walk around the pits and look at the differant types of race cars and bikes and Maybe even have a conversation with drivers and crew members. Except for the race track and return road the rest of the facility is accessible for all spectators.

However, safety and track prep has priorty for us. The race is registered as an international Event and has been approved by the DMSB (Deutscher Motorsport Bund / German Motorsports Federation). After all, no one should come to harm, assures organizer Michael Behrens, who runs are large organisational crew in order to ensure a smooth operation. The numerous volunteers ensure that all spectators and Teams are well taken care of.

The well-known voice of track speaker Benni Voss will be back on the microphone. For many years Benni has commentated drag race events and is regarded as the Walking lexicon of drag racing.

The food court offers cold and warm beverages as well as a delicious breakfast and an assortment of cakes. There are also numerous food stands on the premises that offer drinks and Snacks and a couple of food trucks will be there to provide a speciality foods.

A large camping site is on the premises. If interested, you can book your ticket online in advance. So you can stay on the premises during the whole event for a “Non Stop” experience.

There are plenty of parking lots with bus Transfer from the the parking lots to the pits. Bikers can use the front gate of the facility.

The Jade Race Crew looks forward to welcoming racing fans!
